Two techniques reflecting a shared form. In UpDown Stools, steam-bending and woodturning become two parallel ways of shaping the same material language. Throughout the process, the work has developed at the edge of what the wood physically allows - balancing tension, softness and structural control.
The body remains central throughout her work. Not only in function, but in the way objects are sensed over time - through grain, proportions and physical presence.
